The eparking.uk.com brand was developed for the mid stay car park at London Stansted Airport. The mid stay car park was built and opened in 2000 as part of the Stansted Airport development.

Meteor Parking's vision for this car park was to allow customers to book their parking online using secure credit card payment facilities and for the customer to then be recognised when they arrived at the car park barriers, without the need to queue on exit with paper vouchers. This service was first used for direct customers using the www.eparking.uk.com web site, but was later incorporated into other booking agents' web sites.

Customer's were originally recognised at the car park by their credit card being read at the entry barrier. The mid stay car park and booking system was later enhanced by adding automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) where the customer's number plate is recognised on arrival and an entry ticket automatically printed, making the service even quicker.

eparking.uk.com is no longer used as the brand for the Stansted Airport mid stay car park, but our web site and booking service continues to provide customer's with the ability to reserve their car park space at this and many other airport car parking locations.
